He lost points for the knockdowns with 1 and 3 being scored 10-8, but 12 was even. Hopkins scored higher in the compubox stats in the rounds that he won, but the two knockdowns cost him the fight. I believe most people would agree that first third of the fight was pascal's and also the last round when pascal showed up again. Hopkins didn't do enough early in the fight and went down 3 times in my book.

    Pascal - 5 x 10 + 7 x 9 = 114 pts
    Hopkins - 8 x 10 + 2x9 + 2x8 = 114 pts

    DRAW!!!

According to your scores, that would mean that Hopkins won. Double check the math.

    Pascal - 50+ 63 = 113
    Hopkins - 80+18+16= 114

We all know who the real champ is at 175 Pounds now.....i guess it was a tricky decision for the judges because of the two early Knockdowns in the first 3 rounds and then hopkins dominating pascal for the rest of 9 rounds of the fight and also knocking him down in the 11th....but IMO a rematch needs to take place soon as possible...

Hopkins won, I had it 114 112. Hell pascal barely won the rounds in which he scored a knockdown. Love him or hate him, the man's a warrior.

I just want to thank bernard. The man never gets the credit he deserves, And I feel privledged to be a witness to his greatness. A true all time great!!!!!!!!

            pascal is mediocre

just prove that he is not a legitimate champ. I thought he was good but when you get a drw to a 46 years old guy you got to consider seriously about doing somethig else. He was also afraid wish proves he has no heart. and that you don't gaain by training. Pascal sucks big time. nitramzaid@hotmail.com

Hopkins is a Vaginer Pank Ass Mother Father!!

Hopkins needs to stop propagating lies that Americans don't go overseas to fight because they would get robbed. So many foreigners have come to fight in America and got robbed.
              - Sergio Martinez got robbed twice. Against Cintron and first fight against PW
              - Felix Sturm got robbed against De La Hoya
              - Ali Funeka against everyone he's faced in America
              - In the US, Malignaggi went to Houston and got robbed against Diaz.
              - Ike Quartey

Hopkins is an ex con who used to **** men in prison. Always fighting people he knows he can beat. A hypocrite of the highest level.

Hopkins and his fans are among the most ridiculous people in sports. You'd think this was a Pacquiao-Margarito beating the way they're whining about him being "robbed." Anyone who calls this fight a robbery has zero boxing credibility and should save their rants for non-boxing websites. Real talk.

Hey looks my math was wrong, but the point I am making to true boxing fans is that the decision was not a robbery and the judges were not blind. It was a very close fight...on the scorecards. Some of the rounds that Hopkins won were close too. Hopkins won more rounds for sure, but it's not that Hopkins dominated Pascal either. He out worked him for a large part of the fight, but this was not a beatdown by any means. Not like Mayweather-Mosely, where after a beating in round 2, Mayweather dominated Mosely. In the scheme of things, Hopkins was an emotional pick, because of his age, but he uses a tactic of coming in with his head, which can end a boxers career (like Wright)
A rematch would settle it, but I would advise Pascal to avoid it and move on to fight Froch in England and make some real money. 1.5M is small money in today's fight terms
