Man. Golden Boy has really brainwashed the average fight enthusiast regarding Saul. He is still as green as a well cared for lawn.
At least this opponent will only have a 13 year disadvantage, which given the total competition of his 39 fights is a brave move in itself.
This means that they are saving a Paulie matchup until late next year when he too will hit the 33 year mark.
Boxing has reverted to the racket it was once seen as over 5 decades ago.
Soft touches for the well connected until that connection cannot avoid the next La Motta.
What Alvarez needs to learn cannot be taught by the ghost of Eddie Futch himself.
John Duddy could out gut him and Paulie could out fox him.
Simply the perspective of a guy that knows the difference between a Duran and a hard sell.

Canelo would KO Senchenko and put to rest the myth of Russians dominating the sport.

The only reason I don't like this fight for Alvarez is that it gets him a world title too early for my taste. He should instead keep busy with different types of boxers to build his experience for down the road.

                      I somewhat agree.

I don't see this guy as being any better than Lanardo Tyner(Who beat Antwione Smith).
