The reason Berto is inactive is less about his title and more about HBO's gross overpaying for him, their budget, and dates.

Canelo actually has a fanbase and a low enough salary where HBO can afford him against a good opponent 3 times a year and a 4th if he wants to fight on Mexico on HBO latino. Maidana fought 3 times this year because he didn't have a problem taking less money to stay busy in Argentina. Juanma Lopez fought 3 times because he had no problem switching over to Showtime, could've been 4 if Rata hadn't injured himself in September.

i haven't watched a lot of senchenko. from what i've seen he's got good footwork and head movement. he's not too fast but he's not plodding. alvarez doesn't really have anyone in his camp to tell him when to avoid a certain fight, senchenko has roach. idk, i may be underestimating canelo. this might be a blowout. but i'm not too impressed with alvarez's power or defense. both of which he'll need fighting someone as textbook as senchenko.

roach aint a terrible coach the whole being on the ropes thing is i guess a way of reading your opponent.if you see canelo he does the exact same thing.but i see canelo making senchenko look silly when he is on the ropes..senchenko is a step up for canelo but i have no doubt that canelo takes it..altough i do think that him becoming a champ right now is gonna affect him on the long run

goldenboy are a bunch of ******s when it comes to guiding a fighter... hes only 20 years old... a title shot is too ***en early it dont matter how "skilled" he looks right now. he still needs experience.
