He's a freddie roach fighter, meaning he relies on his foot movement for defense. He should study tapes of Bernard Hopkins and learn how to use footwork to close off offensive angles.

Somewhere between dreadful and average.

His defense is mainly his legs. He doesn't have good parrying/blocking skills or head movement.

I voted option 1. When you are supposed to be the next big thing and you say before the fight "Wont lose a round, will knock the guy out before the 6th" and you come out of the fight looking like the Elephant Man after a truck ran over your face...............

Its above average,he got caught by maidana but he survived the onslaught and won the fight and answered the questions that needed answering

He can't block an uppercut to save his life, I'll tell you that much..which is why I have Alexander stopping him with that awesome uppercut he throws, if they ever match up

I have watched SIX Amir Khan fights in full. He has been hurt in THREE of them.

Amir Khan is an exceptional offensive fighter, but a tad below average defensive fighter. His problem is that he doesnt know how to fight going backwards because hes so used to people being confused with his speed along with his offensive talent. He needs to learn how to clinch better, but clinching will be hard for him because it contradicts his style of fighting so i dont think he will improve on it much. Hes still not complete and Freddie knows that.

One fighter i honestly believe will give Khan big problems is Ortiz. I know Ortiz lost to Maidana, but Ortiz's style is a scary match up for Khan. Ortiz has the speed, craftiness and most of all the power to throw Khan off balance. Thats a fighter i believe Khan should stay away from at the moment.
