Ross Greenburg is killing boxing in the USA.

But it's alive and well in Mexico, Germany, The Phillipines, and elsewhere.

Boxing will always have its core fanbase in America that will weather the storm.

Boxing is one of those sports that will never die. It's been around for thousands of year. It's one of those sports that no matter what happens it will always have it's fan base. Sure things look bad now, but just wait until this UFC fad passes by and people will be back to boxing in no time.

What ever happened to Roman Greenberg, the heavyweight?

Good article. Dunno what the situation in the US is like but in Germany boxing's never been bigger. "Eurolevel-fighters" (I hate term but you know what I mean) like Sylvester, Zbik, Stieglitz or Oral easily sell out arenas with a capacity of 2000 up to 8000 (how many people attended Khan - Maidana? 5000?). Put Abraham or Sturm against a random bum in the ring and you'll have 20.000 in your arena. Vitali makes 35.000 - 45.000, Wlad 50.000 - 65.000 + like 10 up to 15mio people watching on TV which is insane considering the German population of a mere 82mio.

He was KOed by journeyman Cedric Boswell and then he quit boxing.
