Mosley hadn't beaten anyone of serious note when he moved up to welter. His best win at 147 prior to the Oscar fight came against Wilfredo Rivera. Is that really any different than Collazo or Quintana? Again, Berto is not my first choice. But he's a lot better than the other two names they are mentioning.
This is the beef I have with people saying Berto should prove himself. They act like every big star today, proved themselves before getting a big fight. I have said exactly what you said in this thread before. I mentioned more than enough boxers who had no real notable wins before getting a big fight. Mosley is one of them, Yuri Foreman's best win before getting a shot at Cotto and a title at 154, was Daniel Santos, a old one at that. That's the same as Berto fighting Quintana and he even stopped him. Pacquiao when he first got his big defining fight against Barrera, he was killing and all but against relatively unknown fighters with shiny records. Amir Khan before fighting a big name like Barrera[old and past prime but still a recognizable name that will make Khan famous], had nothing on his resume but 4 knock downs and 1 knock out, and had no notable win on his resume.

So I don't know why are people acting like Berto is going to be the only fighter to do this. They are asking for something that they hadn't ask for other boxers who didn't do **** prior to getting a big fight. The hell did David Diaz do before getting Pacquiao? What did Clottey do before getting Pacquiao?

It'd be a good fight but Pacquiao would spank his ass. At the end of the day Berto is a good/average fighter, Pacquiao is great/special. If Berto wants to make the fight competitive he'll have to show far more than he has shown in previous fights.

Seriously who the **** has Berto fought....or what has he accomplished to deserve a fight with Pacquiao? Nothing...nada...

All he did was winning a vacant belt.

berto is the only fight for pac that makes sense among the 3 choices. he's young and in his prime unlike shane and he's not asking for the sky as far as purse is concerned unlike jmm. all bull**** aside, berto should be an easy pick for pac for his next fight.

Berto's good but lets not go crazy here

Give it up bro, I wanna see berto in there with pac too but don't let that kush go to ur head. He still hasn't beaten anyone worth a damn, and that's a fact. Cotto would tax that ass and I margacheato would give him all he could take. I've give him even money against clottey.

And chill with the lame ass "hype job" nonsense. One day pac is garbage, he's all hype, he's nothing but trash.
Then the VERY ****ing next day he's a super human steroid monster who's doing things that defy logic. It can't be both ways so which one is it?

And u might not have heard but pacs doing things that have never been done since boxing "has been alive". That's not me that floyd mayweather sr. Sounds pretty good for a "hype job". Never been done since boxing has been alive....wow that sounds like some "serious" hype to me bro.

If Berto win his next fight, it will be his turn to face Pac in fall 2011.

                  question.

In your opinion, between berto and shane, who would you pic to win if they fought in 3 months?

Personally, i wouldn't mind Pac fighting Berto myself, but most likely Pac would choose Mosley.

Yeah, so that's why Cotto is gonna fight Wolak?

I know Berto has potentials but still doesn't deserve a fight w/ Pac...First give Collazo a rematch, Berto clearly lost that fight...

Berto has all the right to share his views & prove his talent but was expose in the Collazo fight...Pac size & skills are deceiving that's why most of his opponents including Berto talk similar feelings before the fight but fight time is a different story...
what about margarito? after almost 2 years without fighting all of the sudden he earned a shot for a title against your god pac?
