Comments Thread For: Berto: I Want To Test Pacquiao's Rep as Being The Best

WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto (27-0, 21 KOs) battered his past two opponents in devastating fashion. There was the 27-year-old's eighth-round stoppage in April over southpaw former world champion, Carlos Quintana, of Puerto Rico, followed by November's first-round knockout of Freddy Hernandez.

Well said. If it's not going to be Mayweather or Martinez, let it be Berto. I thought he represented himself well here. I don't want to see Marquez at 140 or above. His offense looked impressive against Katsidis but it won't be enough to dent Pacquiao. And his reflexes are slipping. If Manny hits him half as much as Katsidis did (at a higher weight), forget it. I don't want to see Mosley too. He is done. And yes, it's possible he's gotten worse since the Floyd fight to go along with the fact that he was slipping even before he met Floyd. That makes it doubly bad. Berto may not have the name power, but enough people know him to make it happen. He'll probably get flattened but at least it'll be something different.

Berto better train hard, cos since he's the next in the line after Mosley given the Mayweather will be in jail by the end of the year. I hope Berto-Pacquiao fight will be huge, exciting like Pacquiao-Cotto.

As much as I dislike Berto, I love hearing this talk from him...if not Floyd, Berto is the right choice....give the kid a stab at Manny Pacquiao

Berto needs to keep talking and let his voice be heard because he wants this fight real bad its his time to shine not Shane old ass who just had a big fight with Mayweather and got outclassed for 11 rds if Pac has any balls he would choose Berto somebody young and fresh with speed a real challenge
