The game is def buyable and boxing fans should buy it and me as an overall sports fans who enjoys sports games I will buy it. But I wouldn't call the roster slightly disappointing. I think it is very disappointing with my biggest beef being that the 140 and 168 top dogs are not there, only Bradley and Ortiz as WW's I heard. But as far as 168, nobody at all.I feel you that the roster should be better, but my whole thing is, what can I do about it? I don't think I'm going to boycott the game because there are some guys I would like to be in the game that aren't, especially if this is really the only good boxing game out, imo. I'll take gameplay, graphics with a slightly disappointing roster any day.
I ****** at making CAB's but I downloaded tons of good ones, I dunno maybe it was me but that was half the fun. I, for some reason enjoyed downloading great CAB's, tweaking them to be perfect, and using them. Some of the guys I used the most online were CAB's (Rigondeaux, Joan Guzman, etc.).
So far, my impression of the whole Fight Night series is that they try to sell the game revolving old fighters. From the roster I see for FNC, the retired or past prime fighters are the best on the list. With just about 10 nice active boxers on there, I don't blame you for using CAB's more than the actual players made by the game.Comment

Khan confirmed he's in the game, whether or not he will be pre-packaged or DLC remains to be seen. Alexander would have been sweet. The game is def buyable and boxing fans should buy it and me as an overall sports fans who enjoys sports games I will buy it. I really do believe these guys that it's a lot harder than one would think to get all of the top guys in the game with all the promoters companies managers etc. There are a number of people that have worked on the game who spoke about it and I guess it is what it is. I don't know I guess I more of a glass half full type of guy. I like playing with some of the olschool cats like Leonard and Hagler and Tyson, etc.So far, my impression of the whole Fight Night series is that they try to sell the game revolving old fighters. I mean I willing to give Fight Night Champion a try, but I just can't play these games.
I've boxed, played Football, Basketball you name it.
With games like NBA 2k10/11 it seems the more you understand the game of basketball the more you can appreciate the game. With Fight night it's the opposite.
The more you understand the sport, the wacker this game is.
No inside fighting, ridiculous ass punch stats, getting penalized for fighting of the ropes and you actually get penalized for fighting a defensive style of boxing.
I mean this is about as realist as NBA Jam was to NBA basketball, or Tony Hawk to pro skating.
Sorry but while I might give this a try.....they need to get people on thier staff that actually know about the sport.Comment

None, and I mean absolutely NONE of this matters if they can't get the fighters' likeness to be more accurate
I should not be able to sim Arturo Gatti vs Pernell Whitaker at ANY SETTING and see Gatti win EVERY SINGLE TIME
Just because you pour syrup on shyt, don't make it pancakes
