Theres a reason hopkins never fought Dawson but jumped on Pascal, he saw something that he can exploit. What it is, who knows? well find out if he has another master gameplan in him.

      Let's be real here......

I gave you GREEN for having NUNN as a display pic a minute ago but let's be real here. A lot of HOPKINS win's have come against smaller future hall of famers and credible fighters by the public's perception. DE LA HOYA, TRINIDAD, WRIGHT, PAVLIK........he beat these smaller fighters but he wasn't dominant entirely! Why didn't he ever fight DAWSON or NUNN or TONEY? My point exactly. This guy is a good fighter but far from great. Had he been fighting guys his size and A-LEVEL fighters his entire career, he would have more than FIVE LOSSES! He's a natural LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT who knew how to scale down at the weigh in and scale up over night. Coming in the ring out-weighing guys by 17-20lbs like he did TRINIDAD. HAGLER was the greatsest middleweight of ALL-TIMES!

Hey bro, sorry for the late reply. I will pick Bernard in this fight even though I know father time is not on his side to say the least. But I just saw way too many flaws from Jean in that Dawson joint that leads me to believe that Nard will cut off the ring and make this shorter guy have to fight in a phone booth. Jean will only get away with that in and out for the first 4 to 5 rds, then Bernard takes this thing over. I see a very close decision on the cards prolly SD due to the pro Canadian crowd, but living legends like Nard can usually mitigate home cooking based off of their name and past accomplishments. I really see this going down as a 116-112 for Bernard so that's who I'm rolling with.

A previous poster mentioned as to why Nard was so hot-to-trot on facing Pascal and kinda ducking or at least avoiding Chad. Well firstly I think it was Pascal that generated most of this by calling out Nard immediately after Jean beat Chad (and then saying things like he was gonna invade America etc...but did it professionally, no ****y tone just confidence which I respect); so I just see it as Nard accepting the gauntlet that was thrown down. But as for Chad...Bernard aint no dummy. Dude is damn near 6'3" without shoes on and at least before the Pascal fight, showed that he could box going backwards and was a rangy southpaw to boot (not exactly Nard's ideal style to face cuz even Tarver didn't have those skills to fight going backwards plus Tarver had no clue on how to circle crafty orthodox fighters). But in this fight we have a shorter built guy that could crumble if that ring is cut off by Nard and then the straight rights and liver shots (where you at DLH) take their toll on the ropes. So my pick is Nard but it won't be easy as they're just no getting around that Pascal is a grown man at 175 (no 10 lbs up like Pavlik) and has some damn good speed...but most importantly, fights like a dude that is very much hungry which simply can't be taught.

bhop is the underdog and i want to put money on him. but at middleweight and champion he lsot to jermain taylor twice. and we seen what jermain had and did after hopkins. so people who say bhop is too smart and experience it dont mean much if you cant take advantage. pavlik was a stationary target and couldnt get off with hopkins. bhop couldnt even take controll of gunshy roy jones. hes much older than the taylor fights and pascal is a light heavyweight. not the best boxer not the best stamina but he fights in burst and fights hard like jermain taylor. hopkins is the better man but styles make fights.

I still want to drop some money on bhop hoping he could win. but i dont know

once Pascal throws a four punch combination to the body and continues to riddle the old man on the ropes, we shall see how long it takes B-Hop to start turning this fight into a hug and hold, dig my head and ellbows type of scrap. it will be interesting how pascal will retreat from Hopkins and lure him into his own trap. the dude is fast and compared to B-Hops last fights we will see a big difference in hand speed and footwork. all it takes is one beautiful shot from Hopkins to say i told you so but what if that shot never comes and the fights headed into the later rounds with Pascal clearly ahead. similiar result as Dawson i would assume, but im going out on a limb and saying pascal comes out big. leaving no doubts who the man to beat at 175 really is.

No matter what Froch says, it's always soooo funny.

He's actually one of the more eloquent pugilists in history that I can think of.

If you watch the final presser you would nearly think Hopkins already has this won!

Pascal looked a bit intimidated to say the least!
