Thing is, in a sport as dangerous as boxing, going out on top with your faculties intact is considered an honourable thing. At any rate it would be distasteful for anyone to encourage a boxer to keep fighting beyond his sell by date, just to please fans, which is why I don't think anyone in the media has said much of anything to dissuade Haye. As the date of his retirement approaches, however, and there's still no Klitschko fight in sight, I think more of his fans will clamour for him to fight on and perhaps Sky might make tentative comments that perhaps he could still fight on, all the while praising his good sense to retire when he does of course.
LOL... now here is what I don't understand, Gaye and his but-buddy Adam Booth have already protested about having to defend against Chagaev because of Hep B, but now he says he wants to fight him? More Gayness from the Gayefaker? Or is he really being honest this time?

What happened was Haye watched Chagaev's last fight and believes he is now washed up so now he will fight him.

David, people tend to retire after they've actually achieved something?

You're an idiot if you consider Mayweather a disgrace. Get Pacquaios **** out of you mouth, fool.

As for Haye, man what a coward.

Don't wait, retire now! Your legacy is already sealed with victories over Fraudley Harrison, John Ruiz, Valuev and Monte Barrett. Get the **** out of here you bum. You are a disgrace to HW boxing. Talk all of this ***** about American Heavies and the Klits but you would rather fight the Fraudley Harrison's of the world.
Someone dig up Carl Thompson to dispatch of this kid so we wont have to hear from him again.

Don't believe a word he says here. There's no way he retires before fighting a Klitschko, that would make no sense walking away from his career defining fight and biggest payday ever. He is only going to be 31 in Oct he's just trying to put pressure on the Klitschko's to sign the contract and make it seem like there is a time limit on this when in reality there is not.

Haye's got his sights set on Hollywood. A crushing loss would impact his image irreparably there. The only time he'll entertain thoughts of a W. Klitschko bout will be after his abortive acting career has gone down in flames and Wlad's old and close to retirement. He won't fight Wlad in 2011.
