Save the bashing until the Weight-in, you can't tell anything by these photos and yes Vitali will have to fight Solis. Odlanier's going to take care of business as he ALWAYS does. Can you name a Solis fight that went the distance without checking Boxrec?... yeah, me neither.

Solis vs Vitali 2011, and it will be one of the better HW fights in recent memory.
You certainly can tell he's FAT from these photos, just as you could tell Arreola was FAT from the pix before the Vitali fight -- you just don't want to believe your eyes.

Solis has fought NOBODY outside of an ill-prepared Monte Barrett.

Austin definitely has a shot at winning against the Burger Boy, if this is on the up and up and not a Don King farce.

You can't prepare your chin, and Barrett was pretty much out of the fight from a single punch. A left hook from nowhere.

Hey man, I like Vitali (definitely more than his brother) and if this was years ago, no contest, but the timing seems right. Vitali's slowing down and Solis' stalker style is trouble.

I guess we have to wait and see though.

When Vitali starts losing a few rounds, I'll believe he is slowing down.

He is defensively better now than he has ever been: working with Manny Steward informally has taught him to measure distance better than he did back in the days when he fought Lennox.

Maybe he will suddenly lose it all at once, but as of now, I don't see the evidence. He's never been a one-punch KO artist. But he still messes people up very badly (the Briggs fight being a brutal example).

If Solis waddles into the ring looking like he does in these pictures (IF he gets by Austin), Vitali will hospitalize him. He's already pissed about having to take this fight, which ruined his plans to fight Adamek at MSG, which would have been HUGE in the NY/NJ area.

Nobody but a few obsessive fight fans knows or cares about Fat Albert Solis.

Your overall preparation does affect your ability to take a punch.

Tua landed some hard shots on Monte's chin, but Barrett was in such superb condition for that fight he was able to absorb them.

The Barrett who fought Tua would have given Fat Albert a much more difficult fight.

Your argument would hold up if Vitali was fighting anyone who would have given him tough rounds.

Briggs, Sosnowski (who??), Kevin Johnson (real threat there)... Please!

The only real threats that Vitali has fought in recent times were Arreola who was dropped before by much weaker competition and an unmotivated Sam Peter. Cruiserweight king Gomez was never even given a chance to Hurt Vitali. His best chance was that he might outbox/hustle him.

If you ask me Solis is a monster by comparison and KOs that whole list.

                  also,

You can't tell jack **** from those photos.

                    Who has Solis beat?

Fat Slob Solis couldn't even stop glass chinned tomato can Julius Long, who was KTFO in the 1st round by Samuel Peter.

Solis was a good amatuer, but he hasn't done jack shit in the pros.

Stop overrating Solis. He hasn't done jack shit in the pros.
Calm down. No ones overrating him. I never said once that Solis is going to beat Vitali, just that it will be a good competitive HW fight.

Unlike the non-threats that Vitali has been facing recently. Who among Vitali's recent opponents would beat Solis?? Who??

And why do people want to see Vitali vs Adamek?? I like Adamek, but come on, he's no threat AT ALL. Life and death with a Cris Arreola (post Vitali)? please.

Also, the Julius Long fight was 10 fights ago (good job on the Boxrec research!) and only Solis' sixth fight.
