I wouldn't say he had an easy road to a title. He probably has the easy road since winning the title.

But, to get the title shot he had to fight an eliminator with Sakio Bika which will always be tough and he made it look easy and then in his next fight he beat the title holder Alejandro Berrio who was a solid fighter who was coming off a win over Yusaf Mack and Rober Steiglitz(spelling?) who is a title holder now the weakest title holder but now but a title holder and a top 10 SMW...Very low top 10....
