Vladimir Hryunov, manager of Olympic gold medal winner Alexander Povetkin, disputes a recent story that appeared on BoxingScene.com, where promoter Kathy Duva claimed Povetkin turned down a fight with Tomasz Adamek. Povetkin returns on Saturday against Nicholas Firtha on the Marco Huck-Denis Lebedev card in Berlin, Germany. Hryunov told reporter Alexander Pavlov that he heard Adamek's promoters were interested in a possble fight with Povetkin, but at that point he already signed a contract to face Firtha.

Neither of these guys beats the Klits, so why not have them fight each other? If Haye keeps ducking the Klits, they could have a box off for a shot at him and his belt. This would be a pretty good fight. hell, get Peter in the mix if this one doesn't happen. Povetkin or Adamek against Peter works fine for me too.

Povetkin is as gutless as David Haye, but at least he is smart enough not to run his mouth and pretend otherwise.

would be a great fight.maybe it happens down the road.im a nicolai firtha fan.hes a tough journeyman & should give sasha some tough rounds.ive seen many of his fights.hes big,can take a punch & is pretty active...the only guy i seen control him for an entire fight was tye fields...yes tye fields...he cut the ring off on firtha very effectively & it was by far tye's career best performance.povetkin should win but im not sure if he can knock him out...its not adamek but firtha is no softie...actually not a bad choice of an opponent.

This thread is not about Bradley vs Alexander, mate.

It's about Povetkin vs Adamek - personally, this is a fight I would love to see. It's very interesting, but it seems Povetkin's management are protecting him too much.
