Robert Helenius reportedly in IBF heavyweight eliminator

According to German site (figosport.de), Robert Helenius is joining IBF's four fighter heavyweight eliminator which will determine Wladimir Klitschko's next mandatory challenger.

I'm not sure who the others will be, but I've read Eddie Chambers and Derek Rossy will be two of the four.

Denis Boytsov, Alexander Povetkin, Alexander Dimitrenko and Jean Marc Mormeck have decided not to participate for various reasons.

Unreal. A guy who got knocked out by Wlad in his last fight is in a position to be in an eliminator. I mean when will boxing be legitimate again.

Brock and Byrd were in the last IBF four fighter eliminater after KO losses to Wlad.

But this time Chambers wasn't one of the original four IBF chose, but Boytsov and Mormeck turned it down - Mormeck because he has his sights set on David Haye, Boytsov because he's coming off hand surgery.

What's really pathetic and bad for boxing is that Alexander "Dirrell" Dimitrenko and Alexander "The Coward of Russia" Povetkin turned down an offer to oarticipate.

its not like they are not top contenders.guys do get second shots at titles.think about how many guys in the past got 2,3 or even 4 shots.chambers was the WBO mandatory & is a top 10 guy in the IBF ratings so why shouldnt he be involved? if he wins the tourny hes earned his shot.

Why on earth if Povetkin deciding not to take part in trying to become the IBF mandatory??

Guy makes no sense and continue to just look likes he's trying to not land the Klit's.

why is it bad for boxing? dimitrenko lost to chambers & then fainted before a fight with sosnowski...povetkin is still #3 in WBO so he still has a title shot opportunity if he wins a fight or 2.i would have liked to seen povetkin fight in it but his camp has other ideas...mormeck is 38 & he would be almost 40 by the time he got his shot if he won.hes got a top ranking as well in wba so hes in line for haye.WHATS BAD FOR BOXING IS DIMITRENKO & BOYTSOV NOT PARTICIPATING.it should be those 2, helenius & banks fighting it out.chisora should be another name mentioned.i like the idea of rossy in it as well.these tournys should be the up & coming guys who have not proven anything yet.final eliminators are for guys like povetkin, chambers, etc.guys who have been to the big stage & are the guys to knock off to get to the title fights.winner of the tourney should have to fight guys like chambers, povetkin, thompson, arreola, adamek in a final eliminator before they move on to a title fight.

"The Curious Case of Alexander Potvetkin" - seems he's regressing since he started working with Atlas.

Teddy is ruining his career. Let's not forget that nutcase was going to shoot Tyson, planned to murder LaLonde and destroyed Grant's confidence.
