I said going into this fight that Maidana had better boxing ability than people gave him credit for and he would land punches. Khan is 2 to 3 years away from being the finished article. His defense is poor for someone being touted as a world beater but the one thing he did prove in this fight was his chin is not as bad as people thought it was. It is not great by any means but good enough for him to go a lot further providing he improves his defense.
Mayweather would slaughter him right now but in 2 or 3 years time Mayweather will not be the fighter he is now and khan will be a lot better and the gulf between them then won't be a huge as it is now.

Ofcouse he silenced people who think Khan couldn't even take a punch. He took around 15-20 full blown shots from maidana who has 27 KO's from 29 fights and SURVIVED. How can you not say he hasn't silenced anybody lol.... You need fights like these anyway to improve, and trust me Khan and freddy will be working on what he did wrong. THis fight will make him a better fighter in the future.
