"Sugar" Shane Mosley expects to be the man chosen from among three candidates to meet eight-division king Manny Pacquiao on April 16, in an HBO pay-per-view televised bout from the MGM in Las Vegas. Top Rank Promotions CEO, Bob Arum, left for the Philippines on Sunday, and plans to finalize the deal after a scheduled meeting with Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs) and his adviser, Michael Koncz.

Alberto Del Rio is very disappointed in Sugar Shane. However Alberto Del Rio thinks Sugar Shane has done enough for the sport and he deserves this final paycheck. Alberto Del Rio and Dinamita Marquez will be there live front row, after the 12 round destruction we will witness, Dinamita Marquez will make the challenge for the trilogy fight the world wants to see.

Mosley is a quitter and a soft patsy who gave up against Floyd jr and embarrassed himself and his legacy. Golden Boy was embarrassed over Mosley. The stench of Mosley quitting will never be removed from his name. Mosley's legacy is that of a quitter. Mosley is a house slave obedient to Arum now who owns him. Prince is a pimp nothing more a street pimp.

When Mosley departs from Golden Boy Promotion, it is another sign that Golden Boy is losing the war against Top Rank! So who's next? Hopkins should win his upcoming fight to make strong statement for his future plans!

Golden boy promotions is turning into rusty boy. They havent earned that much since the mayweather fights. Their only hope now is Klitscho vs Haye or convince mayweather to come out from the closet arhmmm correction vacation.

GBP were pushing for JMM and when your not that guy but kinda with that same promo company that's a snuff in the face. Words from Schaefer like he turned his back on us sound like someone wanting to be a complete monopolist and bulleye to me. You can easily say the same the other way round as they didn't really do much for Mosely in terms of landing that fight.

And if they're bad relationship with Top Rank is what was also blocking it, then why on earth should a boxer not leave and just get it done amicably without GBP?

Completely understandable and it's pretty shabby GBP would behave in such a way once it's happened.

Mind you, you could say Arum is also being awkward and hoping guys go out on there own, but hey, whatever. I think the outcome is good for boxing, less people with 2 tricky promoters and more competition & fights being made.

                Exactly!

Mayweather told Shane to be his own boss....and it looks as if Shane answered the call and is being his own man/boss....that's good for him and for boxing....

Mosley is old, can't draw a crowd, can't win big fights, and lost all his money in divorce because he couldn't satisfy his wife. He was an embarrassment to GBP, this makes GPB stronger. There is no "war" with Top Rank because Bob Arum will die soon because he's as old as the sea. Same with Don King. GBP is the future....there's no way around it.
