Froch would be reuluctant to trade with Degale. Froch beats him.

I like Degale I really do but he wouldn't even land a punch on Ward right now.

Degale is something special no doubt.. the way he threw the check hook on the back foot was gravy. His timing is great and just has unreal fluidity. Still long ways to go. Handles Groves. imho

No, he isn't and it's no debate really.

He is a prospect, froch, abraham, dirrell, kessler and ward, would all beat him if they fought today, but as for in the next 4 years, we could see a next superstar in degale.

              Destroyed Paul Smith

              Current Olympic gold medallist

I’d pick him to win against any of the super six boxer, in particular, Andre Ward who i see is vastly over rated, and also, were he still in it, Andre Direll, as he is clearly not man enough to become a good boxer.

Glen Johnson also would be beaten within 5/6 rounds.

The only person i think who could stand a good chance of winning is Carl Froch, as Carl and DeGale are easily the top two super middles in the world.

The only other person capable of beating him, at his best, is George Groves. It could be argued that he is also in the top two, but no question that he, DeGale and Froch make up the top three super middles in the world today
well i bet ur british anyway, what other ****** would make such a ****** post

                in short OP - NO!!!
degale is a good prospect,he is that and that only....talk of him beating Ward is very premature in my eyes at least. I would back Ward to take care of him easily at this stage.
I cant stand DeGale's attitude and hoped Groves would KO him...but I see Groves getting the beating of his life.

Degale can fight for a world title in mid 2012, he is a world class caliber prospect and he is going to beat any 168 when he becomes champ!

Beating Paul Smith doesn't make someone the best super middleweight in the world.

I wouldn't put him in with any of the super six yet, all those guys are top fighters, superbly conditioned, and carry power...something which degale hasn't proved he can deal with. He needs to make the steps like all fighters do, fight 1 or 2 more domestic fights, move up to european level, prefferably agaisnt someone with power but lack of boxing skills so he can dip his toes in with a real puncher, move up to gatekeeper level and so how he fares, and if all is well and good then up to a title shot probably somewhere between his 15th and 20th fight.
