  • Is James DeGale the best super middleweight in the world already?

From what i can see, without question.

Beat Carl Dilks in the first rd (a man who had never been stopped before)

    Destroyed Paul Smith

    Current Olympic gold medallist

I’d pick him to win against any of the super six boxer, in particular, Andre Ward who i see is vastly over rated, and also, were he still in it, Andre Direll, as he is clearly not man enough to become a good boxer.

Glen Johnson also would be beaten within 5/6 rounds.

The only person i think who could stand a good chance of winning is Carl Froch, as Carl and DeGale are easily the top two super middles in the world.

The only other person capable of beating him, at his best, is George Groves. It could be argued that he is also in the top two, but no question that he, DeGale and Froch make up the top three super middles in the world today

Andre ward is too good for degale, and always will be...mark my words. Degale doesn't have that kind of physical athletiscism or talent, he will win a world title, no doubt about it. I wouldn't put him in with any of the super six yet, all those guys are top fighters, superbly conditioned, and carry power...something which degale hasn't proved he can deal with. He needs to make the steps like all fighters do, fight 1 or 2 more domestic fights, move up to european level, prefferably agaisnt someone with power but lack of boxing skills so he can dip his toes in with a real puncher, move up to gatekeeper level and so how he fares, and if all is well and good then up to a title shot probably somewhere between his 15th and 20th fight.

      In short your a moron

Lol no. He's not even the best in Britain. Carl Froch sends him to hell.

He's certainly the best super-middleweight prospect. I rate him higher than Groves and Quillin.

Definitely a future world-champ in the making.

Andre Ward cant punch for toffee

He won his world title by headbutting Kessler, and then has had one dumb defence against that nomark that Calzaghe schooled.

In England we know where our talent really is, we don’t go around announcing to the world that we’re the best etc, etc.

James DeGale is EASILY the best super middle in the world right now, and i ASSURE you that in 12 months time it’ll be Ward who is ducking him.

Warren is fast-tracking DeGale because he's already the best of the British super-middles apart from Froch.

DeGale should fight Groves next for the British Commonwealth title.

After than he should fight Brian Magee for the European title.

Then he should fight an American fighter on a televised undercard in order to raise his profile in the US. Peter Quillin would be ideal.

Yeah something along those lines will be fine, I think he said he wants the lonsdale belt outright, so I think he will defend his british title a few times, groves likely being one of them.

DeGale is the FUTURE...he got NEXT not NOW ....with that said, I'm a brand new DeGale fan....he could beat Froch in about 12-18 months imo...not NOW....I would like to see him in there with the Wards and Frochs but in the distant future...for gods sake...he's a 9 fight prospect...those dudes I mentioned are PROVEN world champs....c'mon now...give Chunky some more time
