Do you think Roach is a bit disappointed with Khan

This is actually a great thing for khan. You learn more from difficult fights as it highlights your mistakes. Roach and Khan will look at that fight and figure out what they need to work on to improve.

Khan took the fight to Maidana early on and dropped him with a body shot. Khan was later hit with flush shots to the chin from the biggest puncher in his weight class, and won the fight without getting dropped once.

He didn't just beat Maidana, Khan proved he has more than enough heart to fight through adversity and a decent chin that can take some mean punches.

Khan is the man at 140. Roach should be very proud.

I think that it is only "disappointing" from a strategy point of view. Khan didn't utilize his JABS (defensive staple to ward off and keep opponents at bay) and his CLINCHING...

Aside from that Khan vastly improved on his combination (flush punches) a la' Pacquiao while his stepping up on his weight also dramatically improved his "chin" and abillity to withstand hits.

What? Defense vastly improved. Khan got hit because he chose to take risks and despite what most critics predicted he chose to trade with Maidana for the first 9 rounds.

his defense is very poor....hell, khan makes the most amateurish mistake out there, he drops BOTH hands when he throws a punch.....he is lucky there's no one taller/longer than him at the top of the division...

thats one of the reasons the tall prescott basically just walked into khan and landed on him...

I disagree, this is not a blip on Khan's resume. This is the opposite - it's a major plus, maybe even a career defining fight for Khan.

He's just fought 'the monster' at 140, so who else should he be worried about?

I think he will take major confidence from this most likely go on to beat the Bradley/Alexander winner.

I doubt if he beats either. Bradley is 2 steps above Kahn, and Alexander has the speed, the power, and the skill to tax his chin, especially with the uppercut.

He has a chance with Bradley just because of the size advantage, but I would place him as a solid underdog against Alexander.

But from an experience point of view, this was better for him than if Maidana never got up in the first.

At least now they have a win under their belt against the puncher Maidana and Roach can work on the things that Khan could improve on due to what he saw in the fight.

Kaizer Mabusa is pretty tall its not listed but Holt is listed as 5'9 and Khan as 5'10"

At first I thought roach would def be disappointed with Kahn in the late rounds because Kahn looked pretty bad, running like a coward. However, in a post fight interview, Roach said he directed kahn to get on the bike and ride it out to a decision.. so I would say that kahn pretty much met Roach's expectations.

Roach is definitely a bit disappointed in Khan. That 10th round was a ****in bummer. To see your faster, sharper boxer getting chase like that and punched in the temple, does suck.

IF Alexader gets past Bradley, which he won't, he will never ever beat Khan. Its not like Khan doesn't box with southpaws, is it? He boxes the finest southpaw on the planet, for fun.

Khan might not be smart but he's certainly top of the class with Bradley. He will school Alexander anytime, any weight.
