  • Comments Thread For: Tomasz Adamek on His Development at Heavyweight

On 12/09/10 in the Prudential Center I had my fifth fight in the heavyweight division. Before the fight we had a moment of silence at my request for my first trainer, Stanislaw Orlicki, who passed away on December 4th. I remember my first steps in amateur boxing and my first boxing lessons with Stansilaw Orlicki and Stefan Gawron. Its thanks to them that I quit soccer and picked up boxing.

I have no problem with adamek taking these developmental fights at hw. He fights 4x a year and he moved to a division with so many fighters at so many different heights and weights. I think he's ready for haye or any of theamerican hw's (him v chAmbers would be a great eliminator for haye).

He has proven his fearlessness at lhw and cw. If he thinks he's not ready for the klit's, he gets a pass from me because of his activity and track record. His honesty is refreshing.

    War adamek!!!!!

I'd like to see Adamek finally receive a deserved big payday by fighting Wladimir.

He's been discriminated against by HBO because he's a good white fighter. He was supposed to lose against Arreola (the crooked referee Jack Reiss wouldn't let him put his mouthguard back in and remember somehow Adamek's shoe soles got cut) but he surprised Ross Greenburg and prevailed.

Now Greenburg is unlikely to have him on HBO again.

yes, i would like for Adamek to go against two top 10 heavyweights this coming year (against Chambers or Ruslan Chagaev).

topping it off with a Haye vs Adamek showdown.

the Wladamir Klitschko fight should wait, if Adamek wants to be a world champion in that division it would be wise to go after Haye first.

I don't believe its because he is white. Its the Iron Curtain hangover.

Doubtless he should be on HBO.

Adamek will only get a big payday if he becomes mandatory or interim champion (and he is close to it)

it's well known the Klits are greedy mother****ers who make low ball offers to all their optional opponents

I'm hoping the WBO declare him mandatory soon, he's ranked #1 but still not their official mandatory.

No, it's because he's white and more so because he's Slavic. That old ethnic hatred is deeply rooted in the mind of Greenburg.
