Maidana is a feather fisted boxer, thats why Khan survived those punches. I think Alexander is the only one at 140 that can KO Khan.

I give Khan props for his victory; there is no denying that he withstood a beating in the later rounds.

IMO, had Khan NOT landed those two body shots early in the 1 (or 2nd) round, I believe Maidana could've generated more power from his shots and hurting Khan a little earlier. Maidana never recovered fully after those shots. So, I believe Khan got away...with that victory, nevertheless, he still fought hard and earned it.

You speak the truth, JBell. The after effects of that KO really affected him throughout the fight. The guy looked like he couldn't even get up from his stool somewhere around the 8th round.

This guy does NOT have a great chin. He was a good referee away from stopping the fight. He spent the championship rounds running away and holding on to Maidana's arm! And he should been deducted a point for that bull****. He's a decen fighter, def not a world class athlete. I guess if i start sparring with Pac people will think i'm a great fighter too? The guy is another Ricky Hatton. He wont beat the likes of Mayweather or even come close to Pac.

You still have a **** chin man. You got rocked many a times in the fight and almost out of it for 3 rounds. Worst chin in boxing imo, just good survival skills(eghh), good heart, and help from none other than joe cortez. Doesnt mean you have a chin champ

I agree.... he showed alot more heart than I thought he had, and give him all the credit in the world for sticking in there for every minute of every round, but he STILL has a suspect chin...

some people will say this about amirs chin and some will say that about amirs chin but at the end the kid showed much improvement and took hard shots. his chin i agree way better than before and not yet at the point where we can be like his chin is not an issue no more. regardless amir did what he had to and won the bout, lets see how he does again when his chin is tested once again

Come on guys. Anyone who thinks that Maidana = Limond is crazy.

There is nothing wrong with Khan's chin, it is a total non-issue.

Whether his chin is decent/good/great, is irrelevant. The point is, his chin is good enough to withstand one of the best P4P punchers in the sport.

And the answer is, his chin is at least "decent".

Who at 140 would not have been rocked by that punch?

So who cares.

The kid is a work-in-progress, and short on experience. This was just a learning curve for him. His stamina will improve, his decision making will improve, his technical deficiencies will all improve.

And he will be a lot more aggressive against an opponent who does not punch like Maidana.
