This fight, the Pacquiao/Margarito fight, Pacquiao/Cotto, Pacquiao/Clottey, Mayweather/De La Hoya, (and that's just to stay recent and mainstream) r examples that show that the guy that re-hydrated too a significantly bigger weight on fight night didn't end up truly being stronger than his opponent. And those r WORLD CLASS boxers. Water weight rarely if ever make a difference, and not in the way people think. Water weight is more likely to slow u down and leave u more vulnerable to the body than to increase ur strength and power.Comment

What Ortiz is missing is inspiration...when he says crap like, "My goal is not to impress my fans I don't care what ppl say about me" makes me think that he lost his soul from boxing...it's true that you shouldn't care what ppl say about you, but you should consider what ppl think about you cuz that defines your legacy not only as a fighter but as a person as well...I think Ortiz can get inspired if he joins Marquez and trains with Barestein in Mexico....let the kid go back to his Mexican roots and learn from a legend...he can still keep Garcia as assistant trainer...Garcia is pretty green as a trainer himself and can learn a lot from Barestein himself...Ortiz needs a camp outside California unless it's at the wildcard gym...even Khan travels far to train...Ortiz should do the same...say tootaloo to your surfing buddies and focus on the millions he can make and the respect he can getComment

If that's Ortiz's natural inclination, than why is everyone saying that "Peterson made him retreat"? If that's just his M.O. than where is that coming from?Comment

Disregarding the intangibles in boxing don't make them any less relevant. If u don't care to hear about them than why acknowledge them?
