Did you know Jeff Lacy lost last night?

I didn't see it but knew he was fighting, Lacy lost what looks like a pretty wide UD to Dharif Smith.

I wasn't sure if he could comeback but I guess the Calzaghe loss even though it was only 1 loss be it totally onesided took it all out of him.

He has just looked awful ever since and should probably hang them up.

Crazy, because at the time he and Clazaghe fought, he was a monster getting all kinds of push from Showtime.

Yeah... pretty sad. He has given so much of his life to the sport, and it was only viable for him for such a short period of time.

I really hope he has the smarts or skills to do something else for a living that can make him happy. From everything I've heard, he's a pretty good guy, and seems articulate. He doesn't strike me as someone who acts like a fool in public.

Yeah he lost to Dhafir Smith.

Dhafir Smith trains at the gym I go to. He is basically a journeyman with a lot of losses to big names. Good to finally see he gets one big win under his belt.

Good for the philly fighter, but it just proves how past it Lacy really is. No one would have picked Dhafir Smith to win a fight against Jeff Lacy when Lacy was dominating the 168 division thats for sure. I had a feeling Lacy was going to lose last night, not because of his opponent but Lacy has taken a crap load of punishment in his career beginning with Calzaghe and Roy finishing what Calzaghe started.

Yeah its funny how everyone thought Roy Jones Jr. was back because of the way he beat up on Lacy when really Lacy was just way past it

Its crazy because he is not that old and doesn't even have that many fights, before the Roy fight the only fight he took that much punishment in was the Calzaghe fight, the Mendoza fight was a tough one too but some of these guys are in plenty of wars and still perform well for years.
