But i see what you mean, Calzaghe must be a ***** because he doesnt fight in America.
Calzaghe is a ***** because he postponed te fight 3 times. Glen Johnson can't wait around forever to see if Calzaghe can find the courage to fight him. You don't duck Calzaghe by fighting Roy Jones and Antonio Tarver twice in your next 3 fights.

Banks is nowhere nr his best in that clip, Banks in his prime would easily defeat Calzaghe and it wouldnt even be close

Yea we all know about Banks weight problems and i heard he was weighing about 190 when they asked him if he wanted to step in as replacement for coward Collins who announced his retirement at the ****ing press conference for his defence against Calzagh coming up in a week

The old man did pretty well against the younger Calzaghe. And he came out of retirement and lost at least 20lbs in 2 weeks? Either Eubanks is THAT good or Calzaghe isn't as good against better fighters.

Eubank lost 25lbs in under a week, he ate only vegetables and spent alday bouncing up and down in the sauna while consuming no water to 'dry out'. He was trying to get a fight with Michalczewski or Jones Jr, but neither of them were showing much interest, and so when that opportunity came out of the blue to win back his old title Eubank just went for it.

After he loses to Lacy this thread will be called remebering how good Calzaghe was B.L. before Lacy, instead of can be.

Am I wrong to say that a prime Eubanks would have KO'd Calzaghe before the 5th?

Yeah. Calzaghe has never been seriously hurt (solid chin), and Eubank didn't go for knockouts as much after the Watson tragedy. However, you wouldn't be wrong to say that a prime Eubank would beat Calzaghe by easy decision. Eubank insists that Gary Stretch was better than Calzaghe.

first of all that fight was 8 years ago and calzaghe is not the same as he was then. eventhough lacy would own any calzaghe any day. Lacy is too good and too strong right now. i don't like calzaghe's style and he basically just stands up right in front of you but i like how he sets up his big left hand.

And yeah Eubank came out of a two-year retirement to fight Calzaghe (apart from a couple of exhibitions in the Middle East at light-heavy).
