I think so. At first I thought it would be Juanma Lopez vs Marquez but last night's fight was a little more competitive IMO. Great fight from both guys.

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Katsidis

Humberto Soto vs Antillion

Rafa Marquez vs Juan Manuel Lopez

were all better fights than Maidana vs Khan but that not to say last fight wasnt good either.

To me fight of the year is between Marquez vs Katsidis and Soto vs Antillion

B grade fighters? Well did you ever watch any of the Gatti - Ward fights? Those two weren't exactly top p4p fighters when they fought, yet they put on amazing fights....

Hello,this is my first post here.I definitely think Khan/Maidana is FOTY! JML/Marquez was great too but with Marquez rotator injury and the fight being stopped early it gets bumped by this one! I have been a boxing fan for the last 20 years and this fight was great,it had alot of things you want in a FOTY matchup.I will definitely be a Maidana fan 4 life because of this fight,he made the fight great IMHO.Khan was the far better boxer and more skilled,he had the precision puching,great speed and foot work,far more technical than Maidana.Alot of fighters would have stayed down after that BS,it paralysed him,you could see the pain all over his face! For him to have been that hurt early,comeback and still pressure Khan the way he did,take Khans best shots and than come so close to stopping him was simply a Rocky Balboa Story!I was impressed by Khan aswell,but for me Maidana stole the show.Eye of the tiger baby!!!

And it wasn't stylistic running..it was just running

Plus Cortez penalized Maidana because Maidana was pissed at Cortez and elbowed him lightly for interfering so much

Still a great fight. I think Maidana showed what it is to be a true warrior
