Should round 10 have been scored 10-8 to Maidana

I assumed the judges did give it as a 10-8.

I don't think any of them would have had Maidana winning more than 3 rounds up until the 10th. It would either be Khan winning 7 and losing 2 or Khan winning 6 and losing 3 of the first 9 rounds.

When you work in the knockdown and the point deduction that's Khan up by either 7 points or by 5 points going into the 10th. A 10-8 to Maidana plus the 11th and 12th would still have Khan winning by 3 points or by 1 point depending on how many of the early rounds you gave him (which is exactly how the scorecards went - two had Khan 3 points up and one had Khan just 1 point up).

Round 10 for sure, but round 12? Hell no. Khan may have been rocked, but it wasn't one sided like round 10 was. In order to score a 10-8 round without knocking a fighter down, you have to not only have them in serious trouble, but also dominate them for the full round.

The 10th was a clear 10-8 round. Khan was stumbling across the ring, holding for much of the round and hurt multiple times.

The 10th was a round you show to someone learning to score fights as what a 10-8 round with no knockdown is.

The 12th was a mostly competitive round, with Maidana landing some significant shots early with Khan coming back in the final minute to land some nice flurries to close the fight. Clear 10-9 Maidana.

I scored it 10-8 on my card before Harold announced his. I thought Cortez was close to stopping it honestly, and if it comes to that point there is no doubt it's a 10-8 round.

The correct score is 10-8. Khan didn't do anything to justify a 9, did he even throw a punch? I don't recall him throwing anything at all, it was a clear dominate round by Maidana.

I had Maidana winning the last 3 rounds with round 10 being 10-8. I also disagree with the point deduction early on in the fight. Both fighters were being rough and Maidana should have at least been isssued a warning before a point deduction.


Also, I liked how Maidana busted up Khan's nose...

i hated it when everytime khan had maidana hurt, he went away from him instead of attacking him, i still dont get this.
i think he respected maidanas power too much.
