Rios fought Anthony not Lamont. I get them mixed up too.

Ortiz should've got the win, but he didn't do himself any favors by letting Peterson back into the fight making it close. Ortiz could have look better, but give Peterson credited he is a very skilled boxer.

Ortiz won imo, but a draw or even Lamont winning just becuz how bad Ortiz looked. Even having him winning, u know he looked horrible.

I will say this about Lamont. The fact that he got an indecisive DRAW against what was probably the worst Ortiz ever, it really shows that he's either not ready, or will simply never be at that level.

          I'd love to see Ríos/Ortiz.

It wasn't a robbery, it was a close fight.

I'm willing to bet most people whom voted Ortiz haven't seen the pct stat's.

Pretty one sided for Peterson in fairness to him.

I like Ortiz, but it was close and a draw was fair.

I came into the fight at round 6 so I can't really say. Was a good fight though.

I had ortiz up by 3 points.

Wasn't all that impressed with either guy. You should have won our bet Tunney.

Lamont Peterson won that fight - with the exception of the 3rd, Ortiz really didn't do anything. Ortiz may have won the 1st round although it was pretty even.
Peterson took the 2nd round - and then Ortiz had the big 3rd round - after that it was Peterson who took the fight over and countered BEAUTIFULLY. He tied Ortiz up when he got too close, and he peppered Ortiz when Ortiz tried to lunge in with a big shot.

Peterson made Ortiz miss BADLY on many punches and then Lamont dropped a counter over the top, and he did it time and time again, round after round and Ortiz could do nothing about it.

Peterson should have won a UD - and he most certainly would easily out box Ortiz in a re-match - he now knows he can out quick Ortiz all night long...

Peterson was doing a LOT of holding, but the ref didn't say anything.

I think that standing 8 count may have enabled Peterson to recover enough to save him from being KOed.
