And he's pretty fast to...Ortiz seems very smart when it comes to landing combos, but in this fight he didn't do it that much...and when he did land combos Peterson was in BIG trouble...No lie though maybe Ortiz is not the best fighter when it comes to his defense skills but he also made Lamont miss...Ortiz needs to move to 147 and I guarantee you he will rehydrate to 158 or 160 as tonight he weighed in at 156...Ortiz can have Danny Garcia as an assistant trainer and he should hire freddy roach, ****m Richardon, or Joel Diaz for a 147 debute...shoot I think that Nacho Barestein would even be better...he's not busy at all...That would be a dope corner...Barestein and Garcia and Hoss as a physical conditioner...
He was drained in my opinion. That's what it looked like.

He won't b like PAC but he def needs better direction. Lamont's a good boxer but Ortiz could run over this dude if he was 100% mentally there. Chino ***ed him up

You can be more definitive man... Nobody's gonna bite you... I got your back man... LOL

Truth be told, Ortiz was bigger than Lamont, same exact height, but 10-lbs heavier on fight night and truth be told, Lamont didn't kinda outbox Vic, HE DID OUTBOX VIC!

Vic didn't look all that speedy tonite, maybe a shade above average speedwise...

He needs to go to 147 and needs a new trainer...If Danny Garcia cares for Ortiz' career he should mention getting a new trainer because there is no longer anything new that Danny can teach vic...Ortiz is a world class fighter in terms of conditioning and he listens pretty good to his corner...and someone needs to teach him how to throw a stiff jab...I think that the southpaw position with his power lead hand causes Ortiz to buckle forward when he throws it...he needs to stiffen it up...needs to bounce less because no one else in the LWW or WW hits as hard as Maidana except Pac...Ortiz needs to learn new combos...he's a combo type of fighter...Hire Nacho and move to 147!

I know what you guys are saying but when I think of Roach training a fighter, I think of Ariza as apart of the package.

Roach gives them good habits in the ring and Ariza gives them the magic juice to make em strong and able to keep up the pace.

The fighters coming out of Roaches corner throw punches non stop and move their feet, heads, and bodies in the process, non stop, for 12 rounds.

You apply that to Ortiz and Vic would come out of the corner like one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Vic has a left hand with a fu ck load of power, he has a right hand with a fu ck load of power, he just only knows how to throw an effective straight left. With Roach Ortiz would more than likely learn how to use both his hands and utilize a beastly offense. That's just my opinion though.

Atleast ortiz still has momentum. It's not like he lost tonight.
