Yeah he needs a better trainer for sure. It's disturbing
how content he looked after the result was announced.

Victor Ortiz needs someone like Rudy Perez, or maybe even a Daniel Zaragoza as trainer. Someone who knows how to mold a fighter of his relative body type into a fighter.
You're acting like you didn't see what he did with Chavez Jr. That chubby ass bum came out in that Duddy fight with a six pack and the stamina after a career of having neither

that was the first fight i saw Jr in shape and focused. But i think that was more Ariza than Roach.

The fact that he might have been more conditioned by Alex Ariza (he is the conditioning coach for Roach's most important fighters) isn't really what we are talking about here. Chavez might have been more conditioned but his fighting ability didn't really improve any. Duddy was a walking punching bag and Jr. did his job.

Now if you are talking about a marked improvement, maybe Jr. should only fight under the tutelage of Olivaritos Morales, because the one time Chavez Jr. really came into his own with his body type and fighting ability was the time he trained alongside Erik Morales. His footwork was good, his movement was good. Sure he had another punching bag in front of him but he was clearly fighting much better. It all went down from there since it was a one time deal.

As an Ortiz fan I'm disapointed...Man Vic what kind of **** is that? Bro I've stuck up for you in several situations and took **** for defending you...Ortiz has the physical talent to be something big...he hits harder than Khan!!! And he's pretty fast to...Ortiz seems very smart when it comes to landing combos, but in this fight he didn't do it that much...and when he did land combos Peterson was in BIG trouble...No lie though maybe Ortiz is not the best fighter when it comes to his defense skills but he also made Lamont miss...Ortiz needs to move to 147 and I guarantee you he will rehydrate to 158 or 160 as tonight he weighed in at 156...Ortiz can have Danny Garcia as an assistant trainer and he should hire freddy roach, ****m Richardon, or Joel Diaz for a 147 debute...shoot I think that Nacho Barestein would even be better...he's not busy at all...That would be a dope corner...Barestein and Garcia and Hoss as a physical conditioner...

All Roach's top fighters have a style where they throw quick combinations going in and out. He has speed, and he has power, so that style for him would be perfect if he could do it. Also, he needs to move up in weight.
