Bute could've fought Pascal but instead ducked him. He had numerous opportunities to fight guys like Kessler and Froch before the tourney started but he ducked them. And he could also fight a guy like Tavoris Cloud. I'm sure Cloud would be happy to fight him. Let's see this guy beat people besides D level fighters before we give him any praise shall we?

Not really.

The Brinkley fight was nothing but a sparring session. The Miranda win was ok, but not that good since Miranda had already been pwned numerous times before.


The Andrade win was solid cuz' Andrade is a beast who basically got robbed in the first fight of a k.o. Not only that but he took everything Kessler had for 12 rounds and didn't even flinch so for Bute to hurt him like that showed true power.

Regardless of that though, people aren't dumb, they can sense a world class guy when they see one and Bute is being given these props based on this intuitive knowledge.

I see your point but a true top talent wouldnt need a corrupt ref to survive with Andrade. Kessler used him as a punching bag and outclassed him completely who is to say that if they had a rematch Kessler wouldnt have stopped him first?

Re-read my initial post. I stated that Kessler had the best win (edging out Froch) outta anyone at SMW.

Other than that....it's hard to make an arguement for any of the other super 6 participates having a better year.

The only reason people will disagree is because they feel that Bute should be in the tourney instead of picking off guys outside of the tourney.

Its partly a case of styles and fight plans though. Bute learned his lesson and the rematch showed it.

In some ways, I could see Cotto doing the same thing in a rematch with Margarito.


Cotto/Tony 1= Bute/Andrade 1

Cotto/Tony 2= Bute/Andrade 2


I think its possible this will happen.

Please explain how Ward or Dirrell had a better year than Bute. Also Froch lost and his best win (Abraham) is about even with Bute's win over Adrande.

Ward's win over Kessler is better then 3 wins over Miranda,Brinkley and Andrade imo and Dirrell who i cant stand has a win over Abraham which is better then those 3 wins to me. I also feel Dirrell deserved the win over Froch which ****s on the wins Bute had.

andrade is a proven 168 pounder .... aa has gone 1-2 and his only win at the weight was against a shot jt.

froch was the underdog the wins impressive. but aa getting dominated 2 times in a row moves his rating at 168 below andrades in my top 10.

most prob wont agree but andrade tko 4 to me is more impressive and rates higher then froch dominating aa. who was dominated against dirrell in his previous fight

this is all in retrospect tho
