I guess I was wrong, you know more than every person in the boxing world, except for Floyd sr, you and him are right. Especially the bwaa. You also know more than the legions of boxers that want Freddie to train them and their management teams and promoters who've actually been in the boxing business for decades.
And I also forgot you train at the wild card. So you can see on a day to day basis that roach, who was an assistant to eddie futch, has no idea what he's doing and is a complete phony.

It's hard to say, people who know the sport rank him appropriately, new fans to the sport (Khan and post De La Hoya Pacquiao fans) overrate him.

As a trainers I rate him highly in the sense that he is good at maximising his fighters strengths and exploiting the oppositions flaws. If I was to compare him to a football manager he would be Jose Mourinho.

I remember Roach training Virgil Hill...

I give you that Futch trained Hill and Roach was the assistant. But, Hill won his first world title when Roach became his head trainer...

And, I remember reading somewhere that Roach would work with Hill more so than what What Futch would. And, that is why Hill had Roach being his head trainer.

But to say Pac hasn't improved and is still a crude slugger, really?

Watch the MAB fight and then go watch Cotto, Clottey, and Marg......his defense is vastly improved even if it isn't great it is finally good and always getting better.

His punching technique is much better, as is his timing and spacing.
