Comments Thread For: Caballero To Target Barros For The "Regular" WBA Title

Celestino 'Pelenchín' Caballero have made a decision to make the featherweight division their home. The boxer and his attorney Rogelio Espino are going to target a fight with Jonathan Barros of Argentina. Barros won the vacant WBA "regular" featherweight title last weekend with a controversial seven round stoppage of Irving Berry. Barros is one of three WBA champions at the weight. Chris John and Yuriokris Gamboa are both "WBA super champions" at 126-pounds.

Caballero needs to go back to the drawing, he doesn't deserve this shot...

BTW, if anyone wants to join me in the parking lot 5 of Madison Square Garden, me and my uncle will be fighting for the interim WBA Family-Grudge belt.

What little chance Caballero had of getting Lopez or Gamboa is history. He needs a nice KO streak to get any attention now. Screw the damn belts. WBA is pathetic.

Caballero is from Panama, so he'll get a WBA shot if he asks for it. Any pro fighter with a winning record from Venezuela or Panama can get a WBA shot. Maybe the WBA will create an Interim title for Caballero, so they'll have four WBA world champions in that division until John and Gamboa meets?
