Is Maidana more skillful than he gets credit for?

I wonder, or is that something we can learn this Saturday about him? Or will this Saturday fight not tell us nothing new since Khan could just be too skillful for Maidana to even compete? Meaning that Khan might be something special while Maidana might not be special but has underrated skill-sets?

He is much more skillful than he gets credit for and as so often the case fans are quick to assign him a label as a "slugger" or whatever the ****.

He can knock Khan out with either hand, to the head or to the body. People act like any fighter can do that against any opponent. Let's keep it real, very few can, and Maidana is one of them.

Not only does Maidana have great stopping power from a variety of punches but Khan is also much more easily stopped than any of the other top contenders at 140. It's basically a perfect storm for Maidana. **** Khan in his lanky ass body till he gives up his glass chin.

36 minutes is a long time to live in the ring with this guy. People can say "Well he didn't stop Corley", or "He lost to Kotelnik" but the fact of the matter is that if you watch either fight Maidana landed at least a dozen shots in each one that would have put Khan on ***** street.

I suck at picking things up on a boxer, because at one time I believed Arthur Abraham was capable of outboxing the elite. But it turned out what Froch said about Abraham being a punching bag with bad footwork turned out to be true since Abraham arguably didn't win 1 round in his last 2 fights against Froch and Dirrell.

I think I got too impressed by Arthur Abraham's demolition over a past it Jermain Taylor(who will always will be one of my fav boxers), I thought Taylor still had it but I don't think so now. Well, who knows how much the german ref or the atmosphere affected Taylor. I mean Taylor was warned for landing shots to the body that the ref called low when I didn't think they were. But I had AA outpointing Taylor before stopping Taylor.

He struggled with a shot Corley... For a top level fighter, his boxing skills are below average. But because of his style and power he will still put up a massive threat to Khan, but if we are talking strictly skills then no, he is not more skillful than he is given credit for.

Well I think his skills are below average at the world level. I think he has some motivation and work ethic issues because his conditioning is very questionable in some fights (Corley, Cayo). But I expect him to be at his best condition for the Khan fight, as can be seen by the media workout. Imo the one thing that is underrated about him is the handspeed. When he is in good condition, his handspeed is pretty good.

Victor Ortíz, however you wanna look at him, is a pretty good fighter.

You just don't walk over a pretty good fighter with heart and punch (well, unless you also have plaster).
