Zbik is gonna get worked over, to beat Martinez you have to be able to hurt him or outwork him and Zbik definately can't outbox or hurt Martinez. Zbik last fight was pathetic!!

Ran a quick check on him...damn...he's 30-0-0 (10 wins by KO)...only fights in Germany although he's beaten fighters from all over, most notably 2 of his last 3 opponents were also undefeated...

I prefer the Zbik fight at 160 over Cotto at 155. I look forward to this.

If Martinez wants 3 fights in 2011, he has to be realistic. There's going to be at least one no-name in the mix, so he may as well take care of his mandatory and shut this guy up.

Still, a fight in March with Zbik and then the proposed match with Cotto in September?

I don't really see Martinez fighting someone else in that time frame in 2011. I guess June would be three months after Zbik and three months before the Cotto matchup, but who would he fight?

Kirkland won't be ready. Arum wont let Chavez Jr near him. Floyd would be ****** to fight him. Maybe Vanes? A Williams or Cintron rematch?

I have seen his "title" fights. One of the two undefeated fighters was a junior middleweight from Italy with no punch and ranked about 75th at jr. middleweight by boxrec at the time. The other was a 16-0 Argentine fighter who had not fought anyone in the top 100 and, likewise, didn't carry much of a punch. His first win over the middle-of-the-road Spada was a close, borderline home-country decision (I scored it for Spada, but close), the second Zbik clearly won. Spada, like Zbik's other two "title" opponents, isn't much of a puncher but workmanlike and tough.

Zbik has beaten absolutely nobody to "earn" his interim belt and/or title shot and was essentially gifted his place through smart promoting and a corrupt alphabet organization looking to make a buck. He's not a bad boxer, but he has no punch and a pretty boring style and wouldn't beat anybody in the division's top 20 or Sturm, Golovkin, Sylvester or Pirog. His style, which involved a lot of holding vs. Spada in their first fight, might make him a pesky opponent but IMO he would have trouble getting a decision outside of Germany.
Question is, where will this fight be?
