Should he get 5 Mil guaranteed, probably not, but its called negotiation and I'm sure that was only prelim, but these guys dismissed the proposal to blow Marquez off after they thought saying he had to come up to 147 would blow him off because IMO Manny really doesn't want to fight a guy that some people feel beat him twice... I know for sure that JMM won the first fight, CLEARLY won... The second won could have went either way... So why not counter off JMM, 3-3.5 Mil with incentive and see if he takes because he is indeed worth in that range for a major fight like this where he's gonna bring money to the fight...

JMM isn't getting a better deal than he got for wifebeater.

at max he gets $2 mill guarantee + small PPV upside. that means he possibly can get up to $5 mill overall if the PPV sells well, which it might not since JMM is generally considered too small as he is a lightweight.

but asking for $5 mill guarantee is a non-starter. I would've just walked from the table like arum. it's ridiculous and shows you ain't serious about the fight.

Both Marquez and Mosley got dominated by Floyd, what is worse for a smaller fighter coming up 2 weight classes to get dominated by a defensive fighter like Floyd or a bigger guy to get dominated by Floyd?
MArquez fought the top guys at the 135 division 3 times, while the only top guy Manny has fought in a division since then was Hatton.
You mention the fights Marquez had after Manny, why ignore the fight he had with Manny? A fight almost all so called boxing experts had Marquez winning.
Marquez won more rounds(19 rds) with the 3 Judges in that fight than the 6 other fighters Manny has fought combined(11 rds)

how do you know what's in pac's heart?

pac holds no grudge against jmm. it's jmm that can get over losing to pac. if the grudge is such a big deal to jmm, then take what arum offers and get your get back. otherwise don't come to the negotiation table beggin for $5 million.
