If Cotto could somehow get a win from Martinez then he is a HOFer for sure and back to top 3 p4p. Then could get back in the mix for reals against Pac and Mayweather *even tho we all know Mayweather dont want none of him and martinez* i'll be cheering for Cotto.Comment

People are idiots, they see Cotto lose to one of THE best offensive fighter since the 80's and he's going to lose to a slick 40-50 punch a round boxer? He EATS anyone who tries to outbox him for lunch, also... Sergio's best wins are Pavlik and Williams, neither of them were ever top 10 worthy, and most people with actual boxing experience knew Williams technique was garbage and he would get KO'd just like that and they've been saying it for years, me included. As far as Pavlik... the guy is in rehab now and we see how his fights with Hopkins and Sergio both went, and I don't believe he was ever top 10 P4P.
Also, Cotto is just better than Sergio at 154 he'll be just as fast as Sergio who only looked fast against MW's. Cotto's been fighting guys at 140 and 147 Sergio is not going to be nearly as quick as those guys, but the most important factor I see in this fight is Sergio just has horrible habits he's been able to get away with. Against full on pressure lumbering giants you can get away with it, but dropping your hands is not going to work against Cotto, look how easy he got his jab in against Foreman who will move more and faster than Sergio and actually keeps his guard up. Then if that wasn't bad enough, Sergio is constantly leaning to his left anytime he wants to avoid punches.
Again, if a guy is swarming you he doesn't much care about anything except hitting you anyway he can. Cotto is going to simply out think Sergio and win by decision doing it as Sergio brings NOTHING Cotto hasn't seen before except for possibly power, however, I'm not sure Sergio hits harder than Clottey or Margarito... hell even Mosley would at 154. That being said I know I'm going to be called a Sergio hater, and he's my second favorite fighter, but I'm simply looking at who is the better fighter and I feel its Cotto. However, if this fight was at 160 I'd favor Sergio as at that weight I think his power would be too much for Cotto no matter how little he may throw. I see Cotto winning this fight at 154/155, assuming of course he does well vs Margarito, if its another slugfest Cotto will be done as a fighter. He's taking two brutal beatings, and it has taken a toll on his body no doubt, but I think he's got enough left to beat anyone not named Manny in the 140-154 division.Comment

Well Martinez ain't gettin any younger.. 35 in boxing is somewhat pushin it unless your a hopkins or mosley.. but still. Dangerous opponent in Sergio. Cotto has a fighters chance of beating both these guys; He's much more polished than P-Will, and with Steward who knows what we see in the coming months.Comment
