No, just AT the weight he wanted to get that 8th world title at. Nothing more, nothing less. All I ask is that he actually fights the guy that earned that title in the first place. Pac wanted to "move up", why cant he move up without picking and choosing or calling off weights? Why cant he JUST fight a guy without having to make it at a catchweight or at a lower weight class. It was Pac who wanted to move up to win Martinez's old title. Its not Martinez's fault he did it by beating a subpar cherry picked cheating bum now is it?

Either fight THE MAN at 154.
The MAN at 147 or the next best man (Berto)
Or fight JMM,Bradley, Alexander at 140
or even Bradley and Alexander AT 147.

That's all.... is this too much to ask from Pac? I don't hold these "lower standards" on Pac that most have. Simple minded folks find this as "hating"..... that's just ridiculous.

wess, i agree with you 100%. all you are saying is let pac earn the 154 strap by a legit fight with a real opponet. that charity fight with margarito was a joke and done just so pac can say 8 world titles. but he is losing respect amoung fans and writers alike. if he holds the 154 title why cant he fight a legit 154lber? he refused to fight oscar at 154, but fought just off suspension margarito for the title. he didnt earn the title by fighting that bum. if he is an atg let him fight atg type fights. he keeps fighting very rank fighters. he has to fight outside the stable. and for the record i dont hate pac. im a fan and as a fan i want to see good matches not made up political bs. pac has "avoided" some very good matches. i would have loved to see him fight cassamayor back in the day and many others. its time for arum to stop generating press and make fights the public want.

So they had no problem in "selecting" a subpar fighter for that JMW title pac is holding... ok we got it.

But then that validates the point(s) of Pac selecting subpar fighters at a weight class or catchweight that favors him completely. Hence he doesn't fight the best, especially at there weight class. As he "picked" a fighter to face for a JMW title and then says a former champion at JMW must come down to WW? lol Or says a 135 lber must "move up" to 147 when Pac himself didn't even win the 147 title AT 147. Martinez is telling Pac to move BACK up to 154 where he holds a title. That's logical, asking a non titlist who hasn't won a fight at 147 to move UP to 147 isn't.

Team Pac, picking and choosing. It's exposed, we already know the fight wont take place. Its the same reason the Mosley fight didn't take place when he was the champion at WW. It's the same reason he hasn't fought Mayweather yet and its the same reason he wants Mosley (now) over #2 WW Berto or are we going to use the money excuse. Not to mention JMM, Bradley or Alexander at JWW. Funny how Pac demands for everyone to "comfort" him in weight but when a JWW or JMW (let alone a WW) wants Pac to move up or down to them its totally wrong? lol Double standards. Are we using the Pac is "too big" or "too small" excuse now?

So ladies and gents, hopefully everyone sees the bigger picture of the "selection" process. Just remember the point(s) will be validated even more when Pac wont be the FOTY, furthermore if Arum has his way Pac wont be next year either by facing a 40 year old losing Mosley and Cotto again AT JMW (yet no Martinez at JMW?).... ouch

How convinient that a 3 time Weltwer weight champion who held a 17 pound weight advantage suddenly becomes a bum when you feel like shhittting on pac. But the truth of the matter is this! I have always had no problem with the catchweights because the weigh in's are not held on the same day as the fight like they were when a guy like Henry armstrong was able to go from the lower weight classes to challanging for a Middleweight title. Henry Armstrong fought weltwerweights who weighed as close to 147 pounds as you could get them so the weight advantages wern't so dramatic. But 17 ***ing pounds? Don't you see a little double standard from fans who would never accept anything like that for their own fasvorite fighters but Pac gets the bar raised so high that people actually forget that they invented weight classes for a reason and when you have a fight like Manny who is doing something special and fighting at such a disadvantag i don't see what so bad about makeing certin concessions so hes only outweighed by 3 weight classes instead of 4.
