Cotto-Manny at 147 straight up is a good fight. If Cotto stands and trades it's a wrap. If he boxes and makes it to the end it'll be an entertaining fight but I have to think manny wins going away again.

I wouldn't favour Cotto over anyone right now. Since he likes his party lifestyle a little too much recently.

Agreed. He definitely has a chance to win and in no way is it a given that Pac will line up all his ducks in the rematch. Adjustments here and there can make a big difference in a fight and I believe Cotto if he sticks to HIS fight, can choose his spots to let go and break Manny's body down, or actually land a decisive liver shot at ANY point in the fight and beat Manny. We tend to get caught up in the outcome of 1 match and assume it will play out like that every night. Like the great Puerto Rican Philosopher, Hector Camacho Sr, once said: " We shall see."

So unless Cotto can come in at his comfortable weight from the jump!, and sticks to a perfect gameplan of stick and move stick and move, and work that body, than Cotto will be flat lined Hatton style..something I wish to NEVER see.

Prior to the Pac fight, in five of Miguels 9 fights at welter,

          he weighed less than 147.

          146 vs Quintana
          146.5 vs Judah
          146.25 vs Mosley
          146.50 vs Gomez
          146 vs Clottey

          He was fine at 145.

If Cotto looked smaller as some people here thinks he was at fight night, its because he chose to be that way. Maybe he wanted to match speed for speed with Pac. But he was not dehydrated.. Anyone who says this is just making up an excuse for Cotto..

In terms of coming in at 145 vs the 146.5 in the past... It comes down to psychology and Roach knows that if he adds 1 more thing for Cotto to worry about "making 145" it can have an impact throughout the camp.

This concerns me also. The man goes through alcohol like he goes to the body.

The next fight will be different, Cotto wont be able to get up off the canvas like Hatton.
