They should be completely abolished. Any type of event/bout that takes place at catch-weight, should be officially classified as an exhibition match, and should not be sanctioned by the ABC bodies.

There are only two reasons to demand a catch-weight.....

1.) you are not good enough to compete with that fighter at his natural weight, which deems the bout an exhibition match and should therefore not be sanctioned

2.) you are attempting to drain him to gain an unfair advantage

I agree that sanctioning body for catchweight fights should prohibit it from being a title fight.. But abolishing catchweights is ******.. Its been part of the sport ever since.. Attempting to drain? Outside of DLH, who were the other fighters that were drained in the catchweight that Pac fought in a catchweight..
