So, Manny Pacquiao (Team Pacquiao Actually) have NO problems in asking a long time 154lbs fighter (who aslo had one fight at 160lbs...Oscar De La Hoya) to come down to a weight he hasn't fought at since 2001 (147lbs), and then requesting two WW fighters (Mosley and Cotto) to come in under the the WW limit. Now they want Marquez to come up to 147lbs?

So, if Manny can pull all that catchweight bull**** because "he is the draw"..... then Manny should agree to random blood testing when Mayweather requests because in that fight "he is the draw"

      Get it ?
Nope the logic is flawed, and I'm surprised you can't see it. It's rather obvious. Mayweather and Pacquiao are both huge draws. The more you bring to the table, the more negotiating clout you have.

Actually he has been proven to be less of a draw than Floyd, so again, since he is the cash cow, by the other guy's logic Floyd has the right to ask for Random Testing?

Pacman vs Crybaby Marquez could still be made at 147lbs!!! Pacman will definitely weight at that limit and Crybaby Marquez could fight at what weight he is comfortable as long as it's not over 147lbs....Crybaby could even fight at his best weight of 135lbs for all I care as long as its not over 147!

WHO IS MARQUEZ TO DICTATE THE TERMS OF THE FIGHT?!!!

          just plain and simple...
Go away with that silly arguement.

The welterweight limit is 147..... END OF STORY !!

A catch-weight, within the weltereight limit is 141-146.

          Stop being silly.

The only weltereight that Manny has EVER fought at 147 is.....

..... Josh " the punching bag " Clottey.

The supposed "WW" fight you speak of against Cotto was fought at a catchweight of 145 (Meaning Cotto could not come in over 145) just to inform you as well. Unfair advantage for Pac. What don't you *******roid's not understand about this argument?

Actually, I remember Oscar recommending 147.

Dude, seriously. What I'm saying is not complicated at all. You understand purse splits don't you? The greater drawing power gets the larger piece of the pie. A Mayweather/Pacquiao fight would be closer to 50/50 than anything else, why? Because they're both huge draws.

Negotiations for things like weight, ring size, glove size, works the same exact way.
