how the heck would a man who produced one sided beatings of highly ranked bigger fighters and generated the most dollars into the boxing industry this year would be unworthy of being chosen fighter of the year? lyle you better think harder before writing anything that is obviously biased to martinez maybe because you have already decided in your mind that sm is the fighter of the year and hearing or reading someone bringing up pacman irked you and decided to write this article. I know Sergio deserves to be fighter of the year because of his beatdown of pavlik and one lucky punch on williams but that doesnt mean pacman is unworthy of the honor... catchweights or no catchweights a small man still beat the hell out of bigger men with no lucky punches involved and that is by no means is EASY to accomplish... I know Sergio Martinez deserves to be fighter of the year for what he has done but that doesnt mean pacman or klitschko or juanma is unworthy of the award just in case the award giving body decided to give it to them. They worked hard for it.... any of them deserves it.

Well duh. Next year he won't be either. His 2 fights will most likely be against Mosley and a rematch with Cotto and Margarito.

Man, it sucks when the Top guy isn't giving the up and coming fighters and chance to claim his throne.

It's most likely that if the Top guy fights the up and coming fighters, the only thing they'll be claiming are early retirement slips.

PAC is so good that's he not even consider for being FOTD for beating bigger guys. If you had Bradley/Alexander/or Marquez beating Clottey 147 and Margarito 150 he would get it forsure.
