    Cotto-Martinez Talks Are Dead

    According to rafael's twitter.

    Arum wanted to buy out DiBella's side of the promotion with 2.5 million. DiBella, seemingly offended, countered by offering 5 million to buy out Top Rank's side of the promotion.

    Arum's now trying to play politically correct, saying he talked to Team Cotto and they wanted things DiBella didn't agree too.

    I call bull**** on Arum, he just doesn't want to do the fight. What a shame.

      I would rather see the Marg rematch anyway, its a more meaningful fight and can see why Arum would rather that one too.

          How much does Martinez think he's worth? He's not a superstar and has never been able to put butts in the seats. Honestly, this fight is like a 65% to Miguel and 35% to Martinez kind of fight.

              Eh. They step in the ring again and it's curtains for both of them. I'd rather see some fresh matchups cause that's a fight that will always sell. Keep Cotto-Margs 2 in your back pocket cause it will ALWAYS be marketable.

                  I'm sure Martinez would agree to 65-35. That's not the issue. The promotion is the issue.

                      Martinez is the champion with wins coming off of Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams. That alone should give him 50%. There's no one for Cotto to fight in March now. Vanes? GTFO here.
