Michael Koncz, adviser for WBO 147-pound king Manny Pacquiao, agrees with Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who felt the proposal submitted on behalf of Juan Manuel Marquez has overpriced the Mexican boxer. Arum has set aside April 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for Pacquiao's next fight. Koncz still considers Shane Mosley the frontrunner to fight Pacquiao in April. Marquez and WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto are the other two candidates being considered.

Mosley is the best available opponent available at this time. Manny will again prove that he will beat the best, strongest competition in Shane Mosley who is coming off two great victories and has shown to be the cream of the crop and biggest threat to Manny. Why fight Juan Manuel Marquez who Manny had two extremely easy fights with? Marquez has never displayed anything that shows he is more worthy over Shane Mosley to have a fight with Manny.

Marquez should have fought Sotto, and then fight a Jr Welterweight champ, or Mosley, or even Berto; if he beats them all, then there is no need for Arum nor Pacman to turn down Marquez!

marquez @ 140 would be ideal, but we all know that wont happen. even if, marquez would without a doubt in my mind get stopped at this point @140 & 147. and im a big jmm fan but a trilogy at this point is too late.

berto would be perfect. hear me out..i know he hasn't proved himself against opposition but thats why we need to see this fight get made. to see if berto can prove himself with the elites. i think berto deserves that chance dont you? pac needs to get in there with a hungry fast young lion and berto is his name!
