  • Comments Thread For: Pacquiao's Adviser on "Overpriced Marquez," Mosley Fight

Michael Koncz, adviser for WBO 147-pound king Manny Pacquiao, agrees with Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who felt the proposal submitted on behalf of Juan Manuel Marquez has overpriced the Mexican boxer. Arum has set aside April 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for Pacquiao's next fight. Koncz still considers Shane Mosley the frontrunner to fight Pacquiao in April. Marquez and WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto are the other two candidates being considered.

LOL at team Pac comparing numbers to Mayweather's.

Whats the difference in Mayweather vs JMM to Pac vs Margarito/Clottey that did right over a mili? Margarito got what 7 mil or something?

We know that Pac will do 1 mil by himself. Anything over is the other side. I wonder if JMM is asking for more than $7 million?

Pac vs JMM would do better than Margarito and Clottey (ASSUMING its AT 140). If its at 147, Team Pac is right, nobodies going to watch it or at least not as much. Maybe thats whats on Team Pac's agenda?

              imo
Pac vs JMM AT 140 does better than Margarito/Clottey
Pac vs JMM AT 147 does even or less than Margarito/Clottey

If JMM didn't ask for OVER $7 million I see no problem and only an excuse to not fight him (at 140).

while im not impressed w/pacs selection of opponents, the fact of the matter is that he is the draw. i truly believe that pac beats jmm at 147 but he and all his crew that jmm is a problem. thats the last true boxer he has faced and jmm has a mental advantage over pac.

Shane/Floyd drew 40% more than Marquez/Floyd and that was on a Mexican holiday.

Draw wise, Marquez is a nonentity. He should be happy with 5%.

I don't give a **** about either fight though. I want Pac to fight Bradley or Berto.
