I can see why he does. He unified all the titles at 140, where nowdays that is unheard of.
I'm Sorry. KOSTYA TSZYU is NOT a HoF'er. His Best Win is Zab Judah!!

he beat chavez, roger mayweather, livingston bramble, rafael ruelas, a young and tough hurtado, a legitimate sharmba mitchell (unlike floyd), an undefeated judah, an undeafted urkal, a tough as a coffin nail tackie, stopped jesse james leija........

This guy knows...
How could he not be in Hall of fame and I wouldn't say his best win was Zab Judah as well, his most notable win is Zab just by the fact he chicken danced and was an overhyped a young boxer who obviously wasn't ready mentally and still to this day isn't.Comment

It's true,Judah did turn out to be nothing more than a good fighter.Incredibly overrated fighter that never justified the hype that he recieved on the way up.Doesn't say much for your resume when he's supposed to be your career defining win.
The fact that he got knocked out,in his peak, and then avoided ever rematching Vince Phillips also hurts his legacy. He had plenty of time to avenge that loss while Phillips was still relevant - and he didn't do it.
And anyone crediting him with beating washed up,irrelevant old champions like Mayweather,Chavez and Bramble needs to go learn something about this sport.Comment

To me he is, just because I know he was a very good fighter.
It's like Mayweather in the P4P today. He isn't very active, but people acknowledge his talent and rank him high up there.
The Hatton fight was a very dirty fight.
I don't like fighters that don't try to avenge losses.Comment

first ballot HOFer.........end discussion. Perhaps the only fighter iv'e never heard Floyd verbally trash and dismiss when his name was mentioned......everyone else Floyd called an overrated bum.
Anyone in boxing circles will attest KT was the real deal in pro's just the same as he was in am's.Comment

Have you noticed it's always guys that love Mayweather that **** on Tszyu? Why is that? Have you also noticed that they have trouble knowing who is who and who did what?
I mean, since when did Corey Spinks knock Judah out faster than Money and for the Undisputed WW titles?
I also wonder if anyone was even a fan during that time? When Tszyu was fighting Judah, 140 was called, by nearly everyone, the most talented and deep division in boxing.
Sure, it's all so easy to look back now and say "There was nothing" but for those that actually watched boxing then and remember, 140 was the division in boxing and those guys were good fighters. Fights like Mitchell/Tszyu 2 was the most anticipated fight in boxing at the time.
But hey, you guys go pretend Mayweather is the best 130 pounder ever after beating umm........who did he beat again? Oh, that's right an old Hernandez and Corrales. Who else? About six other nobodies who never held any title. You **** on Tszyu's resume at 140 and call Mayweather the best 130 pounder ever?
When you fight about fifteen world champions compared to a few, how do they compare?
It's like the Cotto thing someone was talking about. People remember Quintana as a good fighter and excellent win for Cotto. It's because you saw him fight. In five years, morons like the majority in this thread will be saying "Who the **** was Quintana? He was a nobody. I ain't never done heard Mohammad Admulexveevev. Who da *** is dat? If I ain't heard of him he's nobody. He ian't Money Mai"
*sigh*This has some real gems in it. "At one point it was at 5-1"
Ok, so what were the odds when the fight actually happened? 6-5.
I've always been interested by how these guys always talk about Corrales as this massive pound for pound win. He was undefeated and was in the P4P lists. Do people know who he had actually beaten at that stage to get there? I remember people laughing about it at the time because he had beaten no one. Compared to Zab at the time, he had done jack ****. As I said beofre, it's so so easy to look back and make of everything what you want, but when you actually remember what was going on, it's a very different story.
A win over Derrick Gainer was his best win by far. In fact, if you wanna talk about comparative wins, I'd say Zab is pretty damn easily as good as Corrales. People just like Corrales more.
Anyway, the point being that at the time, Zab was a huge and very unexpected win and had shown his mettle by beating guys like Junior Witter, Micky Ward, Terron Millett etc and others along with a six or seven defense title reign and beating them to the point that people were calling him the next ATG.
It's all completely subjective and simply how you put it in perspective. You guys will argue black and blue Corrales as a massive amazing win and will then put down Zab saying "He never did anything!" and yet he ended up achieving more than Corrales. Pretty easy to do that ****.
I would say this that Corrales did beat Gainer and Manfreddy who was still OK going into the Floyd fight.
But, overall again I agree with pretty much everything you said.Comment
