  • The More I Become Realistic, Khan is getting KTFO.

Let's look at boxing history for a second here.

Punchers beat boxers with glass chins.

A lot of people say Lennox Lewis has a glass chin and look at the career he's had. I disagree, Lennox never had a glass chin. He just fought at heavyweight with some of the most murderous punchers of all time and sooner or later he was going to catch one. He took some hellacious shots before and stayed in the game. including Tua left hooks, Vitali straight right, and Shannon Briggs spasms. Vlad simply isn't fighting any elite punchers. If Vlad fought a legit puncher like his brother..... do you think he'd still be on his reign? Vitali would brutalize him even now. Corey Sanders beats him 10 out of 10 times. Took Vitali with an iron chin to dispose him so Vlad would never have to face him again.

Now Amir Khan DOES have a glass chin. He's been dropped with head gear on in the ammies by lightweights. Amir actually got dropped by 3 other guys other than Prescott through his career as well. The fact that he chose light hitting fighters since the Prescott fight is no coincidence. He built up his confidnece but he will get KTFO. chin is still the same.

Now let's look at the opposite side of the argument.

Tommy Hearns is a 1 punch KO puncher himself like a Julian jackson. Those 2 KOing people with superior boxing skills should side with my side of the argument right? No one would say Hearns is a more skilled boxer than Duran but he still KHTFO. Julian Jackson got outboxed by Herol Graham then put him to sleep. The only times those punchers got beat was when the guys took their power. Hagler. Leonard. G-Man. All have iron chins.

You need a chin to beat a puncher.

The best indicator is when a fighter beats someone in the amature but gets KOed in the Pro's by the same guy they beat. Amature is all about speed and skills.

Tillman beat Tyson twice in the Ammies. Got KTFO in the first round.

Cotto lost to Pinto in the ammies twice. Cotto KHTFO in the Pro's.

    Examples are endless.

To add to that...... Foreman was a 3:1 underdog against Frazier. Boxer vs Puncher. Foreman was seen as a slow plodding puncher. What happened? Foreman's entire career is based on being a slow plodding puncher that KOed boxers. Norton beat Ali twice controversially........... but got blown out by Foreman with the lesser boxer skills. Ali beat Foreman because he has one of the best chins of all time.

Marciano's entire career is consisted of going face first in a high guard and throwing BOLO's. he was a terrible boxer fundamentally. But he had KO power. Glass chins have no hope.

Now Julio Ceasar Chavez.......another guy with an entire career consisted off being a face first puncher. He'll take 3-4 to give 1. that's served him pretty well right? What happened when he faced one of the most skilled technicians in Roger Mayweather? All those skills but can't take a punch. that is the difference between Roger and Floyd. Floyd can take a punch(cue Mosley's flush overhand right)

Khan shouldn't be favored here at all if you knew boxing history. Khan has a chin of glass. It will be shattered when held up against a good puncher. Beating Malignaggi, Salita, does not mean ****. they can't bust g****s. it's all smoke and mirrors.

Maidana is the best puncher in the sport today. Both hands. High activity. Aggression. KO's to the head and body.

Maidana has a good chin, hes been down before n recovered very well. The times khan has been down hes been in serious trouble.
Will be a good fight, hoping to see some big punches land

Is Maidana too one dimensional to hit Khans chin tho? All the fighters I've seen fight against Maidana fought Maidana incredibly ******. DeMarcus Corley fought Maidana better than Cayo and Ortiz.

        yup. his chin is underrated.

he's been down once in his career before Ortiz. it was actually comical. he got flash KDed. smiled. then knocked the other guy out immediately.

Ortiz is one of the hardest 1 punchers in the sport and Maidana took everything from Ortiz and the kitchen sink. He will take Khan's 2-3 to deliver one.

Glass gets shattered in this one.

          I don't get that.

Jeff lacy is 1 dimensional left hooker. Arthur Abraham is 1 dimensional short head hunter.

Maidana punches with both hands. Head and body. loop and straight. he's a very deceptive puncher. he snaps short straights between his looping shots. just when Ortiz thought Maidana was going to pitch an overhand right he gets stung with a short straight. he's a very tricky puncher. his timing is off too.

I feel Maidana was sandbagging in that fight with Corley. Amir took the fight after it went to decision. but upon closer inspection...... Amir wouldn't take some of the shots corley took. period.

Khan is going to destroy one dimensional Maidana, the same Maidana who struggled against a shot Corley. Maidana is going to get stopped by Khan.

              Yes.

The vegas floors will shine brighley when khans glass chin falls onto it.

oh and all the people saying Khan will have a big reach advantage ...

Maidana's reach is actually 70'' compared to Khan's 71. lol.

There are a lot of people that seem to think Khan is such a good boxer he won't get hit and will make Maidana look silly. But Khan is not a great defensive boxer. His hand speed flatters his boxing skills. At some point in this fight Maidana is going to land and all the speculation about his chin will ne answered.

hmm the only time he was in trouble was against Prescott. Against Limond and Gomez he did pretty well to get up and KO them imo.

But there is a world of difference between Limond and Maidana and i think Khan will stay down if he gets hit flush.
