Let's say Manny is on roids. All he has to do is wait for the fight to get signed so he knows exactly when to start his cycle and get off (clean his body) It's not that difficult. Unless Team Pac makes a horrible mistake we won't see Pac get caught for anything "if" he is dirty.
The only solution is random testing during the whole year like they have in Track and Field and Cycling....that's how you make it difficult for the cheaters to get away with it.Comment

It really depends on what he's using.Let's say Manny is on roids. Also, note not everyone gets year-round testing. WADA determines that based on a number of factors. And WADA is the same Association that does Track & Field and cycling, etc.Comment

Exactly. Manny "wanting 7 days", Floyd wanting no cut offs. Until there is an actual standard catered to boxing it is basically just fighters asking what THEY THINK is good for them but not necessarily good for fighters or the sport of boxing in general. Until they find an absolute safe way to test that answers the health concerns of the fighters that wont affect their performance as fighter, we are left with fighters demanding their own terms without knowing the ramifications. There has to be a study. Some doctors indicate that testing to close to the fight is a risk; hematoma and such. Pacquiao could very well subscribe to those concerns as those doctors and it would be legitimate or there could be no risks at all to Floyd's credit.Really? Im in the field as well, what do you do? Also, I honestly don't know why WADA doesn't do year-round for EVERY sport but we're getting so far ahead of ourselves. We don't have any kind of standard test in boxing. So if people can beat year-round, imagine what they're doing in boxing today.Comment
