Margarito was a world class boxer from 05-09

Margarito 2010 is washed up after not fighting for over a year.

While I certainly question some of his abilities at the upper end of the sport, at his peak he was very good at what he did against the vast majority of fighters that was enough, even some very good ones.

He certainly deserves respect.

I think he's close to being a HOFer. My opinion. I hope he can come back and score a good win or two.

As for the thread question, it's easy because Margs was considered to have an iron chin and everyone thought not even with a sledgehammer you could knock the guy out.

No, its not easy.

Many people for years said he was a bum who didn't even deserve a chance in the ring with any of the welterweight divisions best fighters, even though he held a belt longer than any of them. They said, "he has nothing to offer anyone and would get beat by them anyways."

Ok fine,

so what makes Shanes victory over him so great all of a sudden?

Thats what I'm questioning, how is a victory over a supposed bum,

something great now?
