    Cotto is a converted southpaw (southpaw that fights from an orthadox stance) which is why his jab is so powerful and his right hand isn't so he couldn't take advantage of that. Margarito doesn't have a great straight right and Clottey can't do both offence and defence at the same time. Mayweather would trouble Pacquiao with the right hand all night long

    However, I also think Mayweathers defence is more open to southpaws (Judah uses the same defence but since he's a southpaw Orthadox fighters can get around it) it's a double edged sword.
    To me that and the jab go hand in hand, the jab would only make the straight right more effective as long as Mayweather is throwing the jab with proper range and authority.
