And we wonder why the sport suffers. Shane Mosley V Pac is a joke of a fight and as much as I love Miguel he got steamrolled and wouldn't win a rematch. All 3 options are terrible and I'm not truly interested in any. Yes, I'd buy Miguel V Pac but only because I'd buy any Cotto fight but that doesn't change the fact that it is not a fight I want to see. If Manny can't secure a Floyd fight he should be fighting Berto or Marquez in april and then in September the winner of Alexander/Bradley or even Khan.

It would only re enforce what they are doing since it would be showing a strong reaction which means people care a lot. As long as the public cares it doesn't really matter what they do as far as Top Rank is concerned.

I've been saying the same thing all week. Everyone wants to put the blame on Bob, but Manny is the fighter. He is the one that can ok something or deny something. You have been the only Manny fan that I've seen see the bigger picture with this, but that doesn't surprise me.

Some people are complaining about Pac fighting Cotto or Margarito again...
I don't have a problem with rematches! Robinson fought Lamotta 5 times, Ali-Fraizer 3 times, Leonard-Duran 3 times etc
My only beef is that Pacquiao is not making any effort to make a third fight with Marquez and he's not giving any of the fresh meat like Berto any oppurtunities... I blame Manny for that and blame Floyd for not calling out Pacquiao and chooses to hide out in oblivion. Yes, he's got a court case and he's got ATTORNEYS to take care of it...that shouldn't stop one from working!
As far as im concern, Bob Arum is doing what he is supposed to be doing as a greedy promoter.
Manny may not be a promoter but he has every right to (and should) take part in who he fights next and has the star power and money to call the shots!
In my opinion Manny has too many chefs in his kitchen. Too many people that lack any boxing acumen speak for him and make decisions for him. At this stage in his career Manny should listen to one man, with the same attentiveness he gives Freddie Roach's corner instructions, HIMSELF.
Rematches are okay but you also got to give the young talents a chance.
